Reunion Weekend a Rousing Success
Class was back in session for many alumni who attended Reunion Weekend on Oct. 4-5. The weekend featured several events, which gave alumni the chance to celebrate with fellow classmates and reminisce about their time at St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
The events ranged from a continuing education course to private class parties. Young alumni enjoyed a reception at the International Tap House, while other graduates spent the evening sharing STLCOP stories in Whelpley Hall. Some graduates took tours of campus and learned more about the future plans of the College.
This year, the Alumni Association gave out seven awards to distinguished alumni:
Leah LaRue '10, Young Alumnus Award
Christopher Herndon '97/'98, Outstanding Achievement Award
Alicia Forinash '00/'01, Distinguished Service to the Community Award
J. Gregory Boyer ’76, Distinguished Service to the Profession Award
Kendra Holmes ’99/'00, Black Heritage Distinguished Alumni Award
Michael Railey '72, Black Heritage Distinguished Alumni Award
Doris Bryson ’57, Black Heritage Distinguished Alumni Award

Members of the class of 1963, 1988, and 2003 were specifically honored for their celebratory years. The class of 1963 received special recognition during the Gold Alumni Reception, where they were officially inducted into the Gold Alumni Club – a special honor for those who have graduated fifty years or more ago from the College.
The weekend wrapped up with this year’s newest event, the Reunion Gala. The gala, celebrated in the Chase Park Plaza’s Starlight Ballroom, featured live music from Galaxy Band, caricatures, and a photo booth. Guests caught up with old friends, made new friends, and danced the night away.
Stephanie Hoffmann, director of alumni relations, says this year’s Reunion Weekend was a huge success. “We were excited to see many new and familiar faces this past weekend. My favorite part is seeing alumni reconnect with old friends and recall funny memories of that person, their college days, and professors. It was also great to see alumni from all years connecting with our current students and learning about campus life today.”
