Prospective Students Visit Campus for Preview Day

Published on 05 April 2017

The College welcomed nearly 300 prospective students and their guests to campus for Preview Day and an accepted student reception on Saturday, April 1.

Preview Day provided prospective students and their guests with an opportunity to tour campus and learn more about the College, health professions careers and academic support services. Prospective students also met with current students and participated in skills lab previews to see what it would be like to compound medication.

“Preview Day is our largest recruitment event on campus,” said Chase Davis, director of admissions. “Each semester, we host prospective students and their families to introduce them to current students and provide them with information about what makes the College unique.”

President John A. Pieper, Pharm.D., FCCP, FAPhA, welcomed accepted students and their guests into the College community during the accepted student reception. During the reception, students learned about the culture at the College and what to expect during their first semester.

“Our accepted student reception shows our incoming students what life is like as a student,” Davis said. “Incoming students enjoy meeting future classmates while parents appreciate talking with President Pieper. This type of event ultimately sets students up for success by allowing them to make connections from day one and letting them know our faculty and staff are accessible.”
