Within one city block of the College is 1,371-acre Forest Park, the seventh largest urban park in the country. The park is home to the Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum, Saint Louis Science Center, Saint Louis Zoo, and The Muny, which is the country’s largest outdoor theatre.
Be Aware of Road Construction
Construction is currently underway on campus and in several locations throughout the Central West End. Before traveling to campus, check traffic maps and construction updates for information on current closures and obstructions.
Alternatives to Kingshighway and Forest Park
Kingshighway serves as the medical center’s front door to patients, families and visitors, who often arrive in the midst of stressful circumstances. Kingshighway will remain open in both directions, but there may be limited lane closures in the evening. The intersection will be reconfigured into a traditional intersection, and a bridge over the MetroLink tracks just west of Kingshighway will be rebuilt. The work is anticipated to be completed in July 2017. While construction is underway, consider accessing campus via Boyle Avenue or Tower Grove Avenue.
