Nationwide Medication Disposal Returns
The Drug Enforcement Administration will once again collect unwanted prescription medication. Sites will be established across the nation on April 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Starting on April 1, check the DEA's website for participating locations.
Instead of disposing of expired or unused drugs in hazardous locations, such as the trash (where children or pets can access them) or the toilet (where medications can leach into the water supply), there are dozens of locations throughout the region for the safe disposal of prescription and over-the-counter medications.
