The purpose of the College's BSA is to provide an environment that encourages professionalism, leadership and advancement of black students at the College. The BSA will foster a progressive image of the College in the healthcare community to encourage unity and cooperation among all members of the College community. Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU)
Campus Crusade is a Christian organization dedicated to ministry on thousands of college campuses in the United States and around the world. St. Louis College of Pharmacy students have the opportunity to build their faith through weekly campus activities, monthly metro-wide socials, retreats, conferences and summer projects while they have fun, develop friendships, and study the Bible. Catholic Students Organization
All students are invited to participate in the activities of the Catholic Students Organization, which is affiliated with the Catholic Student Center (Newman House) that serves both the Washington University main campus and the medical school campus. The organization provides opportunities for spiritual development through participation in liturgies, counseling, and reception of the sacraments. The center also organizes social activities and provides opportunities for community service. The student center on Forsyth Avenue is available for recreation and study. Free transportation by shuttle bus connects the College with the center. The College Republicans are campus-wide chapter of a larger organization: the Missouri College Republicans. "The Missouri College Republicans are a youthful, volunteer oriented arm of the Republican Party that promotes conservative principles while building the party base through energetic recruitment, and grass-roots training of students on college campuses to raise their life long political involvement, and establish a foundation for conservative citizenship.

Conjurings Literary Magazine
Students at the College publish an annual literary magazine known as ConjuRxings. ConjuRxings accepts original poetry, short stories, essays and two-dimensional art for publication each year. International Students Organization (ISO)
This organization is open to all students who are interested in expanding their horizons. Besides meeting together for fellowship and food, ISO educates the College community about different cultures and the importance of internationalization in pharmacy. The group also seeks to identify the needs and problems of international students and then seek solutions. Finally, ISO creates networking opportunities for its members. Pharmakon is the student newspaper published once a month during the academic year. The paper contains articles on issues related to the College, the pharmacy profession and items of general interest. Student Ambassadors
Student ambassadors are volunteers who assist in the promotion of St. Louis College of Pharmacy in a variety of ways. The ambassadors inform prospective students and their parents about the College's mission and philosophy, represent the current student body to alumni and supporters of the College, and personalize the College by making campus visitors feel welcome, comfortable and positive about the College. Student Body Union (SBU)
The Student Body Union serves as the governing body of the students at St. Louis College of Pharmacy and is the vehicle through which students can become involved in College policy decisions. The council is responsible for student appointments to select administrative and faculty committees. The specific process for such involvement is discussed in the Student Code, Sections I and III. SBU oversees disbursement of student activity fee funds. This fee is used to support student publications, student social activities, and theater and musical productions, and also provides support for student organizations. Student Organization for Drug and Alcohol Awareness (SODAA)
The focus of SODAA is to provide awareness and prevention education regarding issues of drug and alcohol use and abuse. SODAA presents fun and educational programs on campus to promote awareness of these issues. SODAA also serves as a resource to students experiencing difficulty with substance abuse and dependency. Weight Training Club
The Weight Training Club will be open to all students/faculty who enjoy working out and have a passion for fitness. It will function as a club that unites people with similar interests by fostering a supportive team environment. Meetings will be held regularly for members to discuss the progress and goals of the club. WTC will also focus on improving the current STLCOP gym, and if funds are available, will enter a few competitions with any members that are interested in competing. Health Professional Student Leadership Council
The Health Professional Student Leadership Council is a student-run organization that promotes interdisciplinary interaction through activities such as case studies, lecture series and a shadowing program. Our goal is to facilitate appreciation of individual healthcare fields, as well as demonstrate how we all work together to provide optimal patient care. In addition to St. Louis College of Pharmacy students, the council includes students from the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College and Washington University School of Medicine’s MD, OT, PT and PACS programs. Phi Lambda Sigma Society, Pharmacy Leadership Society
The purpose of this society is to recognize students who have made outstanding professional and/or service contributions. New members are elected by their peers in Phi Lambda Sigma. Membership is limited to fourth-, fifth-, and sixth-year students with a cumulative professional GPA of at least 2.0. A maximum of 10 percent of students in each class can be elected. Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society
The fundamental objective of Rho Chi is to promote the advancement of the pharmaceutical sciences through the encouragement and recognition of sound scholarship. To be eligible, students must be in or beyond their fourth year of study, have a cumulative GPA, as well as a professional GPA, of at least 3.0, and be in the top 20 percent of their class. Student Alumni Association
The Student Alumni Association focuses on connecting students with alumni and other health care professionals. SAA members are invited to exclusive alumni events, unique professional programs, and networking opportunities with successful alumni. Student Pharmacist Association (SPA)
SPA is a professional association that coordinates and organizes the activities of the student chapters of the three major national pharmacy organizations:
1) the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), whose focus is all areas of pharmacy practice; 2) the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), whose focus is on independent pharmacy ownership; and 3) the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), whose focus is on hospital and home health care practice settings.
Dues-paying members automatically become members of ASHP, as well as their state and local pharmacy associations. Members in years three through six pay dues that also cover membership in one of the other two specialty professional associations. Involvement in SPA provides students with opportunities to learn about the unique areas of pharmacy practice, current issues affecting the practice, and early entry into the profession.

International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE)
The purposes of the STLCOP chapter of ISPE are threefold:
1) Students are given the opportunity to explore, through tours, speakers and meetings, the manifold career possibilities that exist in industry for someone with a pharmacy degree.
2) Students are matched with internships in a local pharmaceutical or scientific firm.
3) Students meet and get to know managers and scientists from industries who can serve as mentors, give advice and teach them about a variety of issues. Women’s Health Issues Group (WHIG)
The purpose of the Women’s Health Issues Group is to educate all students, faculty and staff about health and social issues that are unique to women. To achieve this goal, the group writes articles for the student newspaper and sponsors informational speakers and programs. Both men and women are welcome to join. Campus Activities
Athletics
St. Louis College of Pharmacy is a member of the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) and the KIAC (Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference). The program is open to all eligible students and participation is encouraged in a variety of sports. All athletic team members receive uniforms and shoes, as well as a meal allowance and travel accommodations for away trips. Any student interested in participating in a sport should contact the Athletic Department at 314.446.8346.
Volleyball: Pre-season workouts start two weeks before classes begin. The season runs from August through mid-November.
Cross Country (Men's and Women's): Team organization and workouts will begin in August before classes begin. The season runs through early November.
Basketball (Men's and Women's): Preseason starts in September with informal weight training and open gym scrimmages. The official season runs from November through the end of February.
Track & Field(Men's and Women's): The indoor season occurs January through February with the outdoor season beginning in March. The outdoor season concludes with a conference meet the last week of April.
Tennis(Men's and Women's): Preseason starts two weeks before classes begin with conference play running until the end of October. Conference play for men occurs in the spring and the conference tournament is held in late April. Both teams participate in a handful of matches in their respective off-seasons.
Softball: Preseason starts when classes resume in the spring, with games beginning in February.

Royal Chorale
The STLCOP choir includes student singers from all levels of study and performs music from classical to pop. The chorale presents one concert per semester. The choir rehearses on Mondays at 5:30 p.m. and on Thursdays at noon in Whelpley Hall 4102. For more information, please contact Steve Morton at smorton@stlcop.edu.
Theater
The students present one production per semester. Auditions for student productions are open to all students. The productions vary between plays and musicals. Musicals, when presented, are conducted in the spring semester. Those interested in back-stage work such as painting, scenery building, box office, lights, sound or props should contact Tim Moylan at tmoylan@stlcop.edu.
Greek Organizations
College recognition of Greek-letter organizations is determined by faculty and administration affirmation. The College recognizes five professional Greek-letter organizations, and two social Greek-letter organizations. These groups are dedicated to the advancement of the profession of pharmacy. They have many professionally oriented activities as well as community service projects. Additionally, they provide significant opportunities for social activities.

Kappa Epsilon - Kappa Epsilon is a professional pharmacy fraternity for women and is a sisterhood focused on professionalism, loyalty, interest, leadership, philanthropy, and uniting women of pharmacy. KE was founded nationally in 1921 and joined STLCOP's campus in 1980. Our goal as a professional pharmacy fraternity is to promote women in the field of pharmacy, make a difference in the community through service, provide an opportunity for leadership, and create lasting relationships to enhance our experience in pharmacy school. Kappa Psi (Gamma Pi Chapter) - Kappa Psi is the oldest and largest professional pharmacy fraternity in the world dedicated to developing industry, sobriety, and fellowship among brothers; fostering high ideals, scholarship, and pharmaceutical research; supporting and actively participating in all projects which will advance the profession of pharmacy; and inspiring in its members a deep and lasting pride in their Fraternity and in the profession of pharmacy. All rush and pledging activities occur during the fall semester of the academic year and are open to second-year students who have completed at least one semester at St. Louis College of Pharmacy and students enrolled in the four-year professional program. Freshman students are not eligible to pledge. In order to pledge, second-year students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 and be in good academic standing (not placed on academic probation the previous semester).
Interfraternity Council (IFC)
IFC acts on matters relating to governance of fraternal and interfraternal activities. It is composed of representatives from member fraternities on campus and has the following objectives:
1) maintain an exemplary level of fraternal life and interfraternal relationships
2) cooperate with the College in its effort to maintain high social and academic standards
3) be a forum for discussion of questions of interest to the College and the fraternity world
4) coordinate activities of fraternities on campus
