Probation Support Program

Academic Probation Support for Students

The goal of the Probation Support Program is to provide extra help to students who struggle academically and are on probation with the College.  Students are paired with a faculty or staff person who has volunteered to act as a mentor to one or more students.  Most often, participation in the program is voluntary, but Deans may require students to participate as a condition of probation.

The number of meetings a student has with their probation support partner is based on the needs of the individual, but bi-weekly meetings are recommended at the onset of the program.  Meeting discussions are guided by student struggles, and may include guidance in areas such as time management, effective study habits, or personal issues.
