Residencies
A variety of residency training opportunities are available through St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Located in the St. Louis' Central West End, the College is adjacent to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis Children's Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine, and the Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College. St. Louis College of Pharmacy maintains affiliations with major teaching institutions, hospitals, managed care organizations, and major health-care corporations in the St. Louis area. Collaboration between practice sites and the College provides access to approximately 50 different residency rotations and preceptors.
Residents are appointed to the College of Pharmacy faculty and enroll in a formal teaching workshop series, conducted during fall semester exclusively for resident trainees. In addition, residents may lead small group case discussions in pharmacotherapy courses, deliver didactic lectures to pharmacy students, participate in research projects, and complete resident seminar presentations. Extensive library services, computer resources, Internet/e- mail access, audiovisual support, travel funds and full benefits are available to all trainees. Attendance at local, regional and national professional meetings is encouraged.
