New Student Orientation I
May 29 and 30
New student orientation features a wealth of activities to help get new students acclimated with the College, the Central West End neighborhood and St. Louis.
Department of Basic & Pharmaceutical Sciences
During their first and second years at the College, students take courses in Basic & Pharmaceutical Sciences, including physics, chemistry, biology, and physiology. These studies provide the foundation for learning the pharmaceutical and clinical sciences, which are central to understanding the properties of drugs and their medicinal effects.
The Department of Basic Sciences is composed of four main areas: Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Math, and Physics. Faculty in these areas teach a variety of courses that are in the pre-professional curriculum. These courses provide a foundation for understanding diseases and drug therapies that are studied in the professional curriculum.
