We're Turning 150!
For 150 years, St. Louis College of Pharmacy has been graduating pharmacy innovators. Located in one of the world’s leading biomedical, research, and patient-care centers, the College provides exceptional education, career, and research opportunities for students. U.S. News & World Report ranks the College as one of the top four private colleges of pharmacy in the country.
As we celebrate our sesquicentennial in 2014, St. Louis College of Pharmacy is reaching even further to become globally prominent in pharmacy and health care education, interprofessional patient-centered care, and collaborative research.
The College’s academic program, which includes three undergraduate years and a four-year professional program, prepares students for the expanding role of pharmacists on health care teams. Students impact health care around the globe through advanced practice experiences and international programs in South Africa, China, Ethiopia, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. And the College leads numerous regional community service initiatives, such as St. Louis Medication Disposal and the Asthma-Friendly Pharmacies program.
Our new six-story, 213,000-square-foot academic and research building will not only accommodate the expected growth of the College, but will also transform our campus environment to support the development of our graduates. From the last to the next 150 years, the College’s students, faculty, and graduates are continuing to strengthen the profession of pharmacy and redefine health care locally, nationally, and worldwide.
