Schools and Academic Departments

The College comprises two primary academic units - the School of Pharmacy and School of Arts and Sciences.

School of Arts and Sciences

The School of Arts and Sciences houses and administers the Bachelor of Science programs. Faculty and staff in the school are primarily located in Jones Hall, where courses in the bachelor’s degree programs are taught and faculty laboratories are housed. Kim Kilgore, Ph.D., serves as dean of arts and sciences and oversees operations within the school.

Within the school, faculty work within specific academic departments led by department chairs:

  • Department of Basic Sciences
  • Department of Liberal Arts

School of Pharmacy

The School of Pharmacy houses and administers the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Faculty and staff in the school are primarily located in the Academic and Research Building, where classes in the pharmacy curriculum are taught and faculty research labs are housed. Bruce Canaday, Pharm.D., FASHP, FAPhA, serves as dean of pharmacy, and oversees operations within the school.

Within the school, faculty work within specific academic departments led by department chairs:

  • Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences
  • Department of Pharmacy Practice (divided into the Divisions of Acute Care Pharmacy, Ambulatory Care Pharmacy, Specialty Care Pharmacy, and Experiential Education)
  • Office of Postgraduate Education
